What this site collects

This landing page doesn't have accounts and doesn't run any advertising scripts. It uses Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool, to count page views and see which pages get traffic — it doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites. The web server also keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for operational and security purposes only — the same thing every web server does by default. None of this data is sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Google Fonts

This page loads typefaces from Google's font CDN. That means your browser makes a request directly to Google to fetch them, and Google can see that request (IP address, user agent) under its own privacy policy — the same as any site using Google Fonts. No font data is proxied through this site's own servers.

Downloading the app

The download page asks for an email address before showing the download links. That address is stored so we can follow up and ask how it's going — nothing else, no mailing list, no third party, and no account or purchase is created from it.

Buying a license

Payments are handled by Stripe — card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this site. We keep the email you give at checkout, the license key issued to it, and the number of seats bought, so we can send your receipt and key and let you activate devices. Activating a device stores that computer's name and a device identifier against your license, so you can see and free up seats later.

Contacting us

If you send a message through the contact form or email us directly, that address is used only to reply to you — nothing else, no mailing list, no third party. If you leave a review, it is only published on this site if you tick the box allowing it, and only with the name and role you gave.

The desktop app itself

LessonTimer (the actual timer application, separate from this website) stores your schedule and settings only on your own computer, in a local config file. It doesn't send your schedule, your class times, or anything else about how you use it to any server, and there's no telemetry or usage tracking. Two things do go to our licensing server: to run the free trial, the app sends a one-way hash of your computer's system ID (not the ID itself, and nothing that identifies you) so the trial can't be restarted by reinstalling; and if you activate a license, it sends your license key and that computer's name.
